Edge Communications

Marina Arnold has been media obsessed for as long as she can remember. Whilst at university she freelanced for the BBC as a reporter and presenter and wrote for the ‘Melody Maker’ music paper. She was on the founding committee of University Radio Hull and still managed to write enough essays to get a degree in English Literature.

On moving to London Marina worked as a music pr, freelanced as a travel writer and then gravitated into media research. This was followed by a 15-year stint in advertising as Head of Information for two top 10 ad agencies. During this time she gained experience of working on brands such as McDonald’s, Proctor and Gamble, Heinz and Cathay Pacific. Marina was also part of the team that successfully rebranded French Connection as ‘FCUK’.

Marina went on to run a successful business research consultancy whilst continuing to freelance as a travel journalist and was approached by Lewes Football Club in Sussex to help with their PR. She volunteered at the club for 3 years and was appointed as a board director after her first season.

Following the merger of her company into the family design and print business, Marina was asked to pr for some existing clients and so a new consultancy, Edge Communications, was born...

Marina spends as much time as she can with her two children, loves reading, music, shopping, Hong Kong and drinking Bellinis. She is a total rugby bore and her ambition is to be the physiotherapist for the England XV.
